Tonight, the Mississippi Sheriff’s Association recognized Clay County Sheriffs Office K9 officer Sgt. Kyle Eaves as the 2021 Deputy Sheriff of the year. Sgt. Eaves received this award due to his actions in a November 2021 hostage situation where he was injured in the line of duty. Congratulations to Sgt. Eaves on his deserving award. Supervisors RB Davis and Shelton Deanes were in attendance as well to represent Clay County.
