North Mississippi Medical Clinics recently named Med Serve admissions/discharge specialist Dana Hutchison as the Star of the Month.
Hutchison has been a part of the North Mississippi Health Services family since 2003. She began her career as a surgery posting secretary. She held positions at Med Serve and Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery Clinic before returning to Med Serve three years ago.
"What I love most about my job is being part of an amazing group of coworkers whose shared goal is to make a positive difference in the lives of our patients and their families,” Hutchison said. “I am proud of NMMC and our impact on our community.”
In nominating Hutchison for Star of the Month, her colleagues lauded her dedication to details and willingness to take on a wide range of jobs.
“Dana makes both coworkers and patients feel important by giving each one of them her full attention and putting their needs above her own,” wrote one of her teammates. “She is aware of the needs of each of her patients and communicates those needs with nurses, providers and any other staff members to ensure the patient has a great experience.”
Hutchison graduated from Tupelo High School and attended Northeast Mississippi Community College and Mississippi State University.
Hutchison has two children, Wesley and Ashley, and two grandchildren, Darby and Fisher. She attends The Orchard in Tupelo.
