"The Chairman and Ranking Member of the Committee on Ethics have jointly decided to extend the matter regarding Representative Troy E. Nehls, which was transmitted to the Committee by the Office of Congressional Ethics on December 11, 2023."
The Committee on Ethics clarified that the extension of the matter does not imply any wrongdoing on the part of Representative Nehls. According to the Committee, the mere referral or extension does not serve as an indication of a violation or a judgment by the Committee.
In a statement, the Committee announced that they will reveal their course of action on the matter concerning Representative Troy E. Nehls on or before Friday, May 10, 2024.
