The Education Committee of the Columbus Lowndes Chamber of Commerce invites you to attend Education Town Hall 5:30 pm Thursday, November 17th, at the Columbus Arts Council in the Omnova Theater. The Education Committee intends to continue the conversation on education in our community.
Local Legislators, Senators and Representatives will be in in attendance at the 2022 Education Town Hall. In addition, this event will also feature representatives from the Lowndes County School District, Columbus Municipal School District and Mississippi School for Mathematics and Science.
Chairman of the Education Committee, Alison Alexander, believes education is vital to our community and state. “We are excited as a committee to bring back the Education Town Hall. Prioritizing education is critical for a successful community and we look forward to hearing from local superintendents, local lawmakers and state representatives about policies and procedures to help continue improving our school systems,” said Alexander.
Set to last from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., the event is free and open to the business community. It will begin with prepared questions from the education committee, asked by Aundrea Self, the moderator, and end with open questions from the audience.
