Our next new administrator is Mrs. Angela Wilcox, Principal of New Hope Elementary!
Mrs. Wilcox is moving into the principal position at New Hope Elementary after serving as assistant principal. Mrs. Wilcox has a Bachelors of Science degree in Elementary Education from Mississippi University for Women and a Masters in Elementary Education from Mississippi State University. She has been in education for 21 years, all in Lowndes County School District.
Mrs. Wilcox and her husband, Jonathan, have been married for 20 years and have three boys Joshua, Andrew, and Jaxon. In her spare time you can find her cheering on our boys at the soccer fields or cheering on the MSU Bulldogs. She also enjoy puzzles as well as family game and movie nights.
When asked what her thoughts and goals were in her new position, Mrs Wilcox shared, "New Hope Elementary has some of the greatest faculty & staff around. They have made huge gains & growth these past several years. My goal is to continue to support the students, parents, & staff of NHE so that growth will continue. I want to ensure we have a safe and productive learning environment for all our students. We want to make sure that every child exits New Hope Elementary with the foundational standards needed to becoming lifelong learners and future productive citizens."
