We are getting so close to a new school year, so let's introduce our new administrators from around the district.
Mrs. Jeannie Jernigan, New Principal at Caledonia Middle!!
Mrs. Jernigan was the assistant principal at Caledonia Middle before becoming the principal. Mrs. Jernigan has been in education for 29.5 years. She has a BS in Biology from MUW and M.ed in Educational Curriculum and Instruction from USM.
Mrs. Jernigan and her husband have been married for 30 years and have 3 children: Ty, Kaylee and Rylee. She enjoys family get-togethers, going to the movies, and family vacations. She also enjoys swimming, reading, solving puzzles such as sudoku, and watching SEC football games.
When asked her thoughts and goals in her new position, Mrs. Jernigan shared, "Caledonia Middle School is a place where faculty and staff support each other and the students. My goal is to continue to promote the culture that already exists and to serve the teachers, students, parents, and community of Caledonia. I would like for CMS to be a place where staff and students enjoy coming every day and a place where high expectations are set and met on a daily basis. I want to inspire the staff and students of CMS by showing them how amazing they are. Creating and maintaining a safe, supportive. challenging, and positive culture will be my focus for the upcoming school year."
