One of the tools in the archivists toolkit is called a micro-spatula, or just spatula for short. These are not your average kitchen size spatulas!
The one pictured here is used in the Billups-Garth Archives. One side is rounded and the other end tapered, but they come in various shapes and sizes.
Micro-spatulas used in archival and conservation work can help in the removal of tape, staples, separating pages that are stuck together, turning over fragile documents, lifting labels, and much more.
