The Clay County Sheriffs Office is saddened to announce the death of Canine Officer Bruno ( Clay 13 ) who passed away in his sleep early Sunday morning. K9 Bruno was a 6 1/2 year veteran with the Sheriffs Office and preformed his duties with distinct and honorable service along with his handler Sgt.Kyle Eaves. Bruno’s duties included several hundred narcotics detections,tracking wanted or missing individuals, assisting other counties and agencies along with working with our schools for educational purposes. The teamwork of K9 Officer Bruno and handler Sgt Kyle Eaves has made our community a safer place . A memorial for K9 Bruno will be announced at a later date by the Sheriffs Office
