Cost of college went up for all students at Mississippi University for Women

Tuition and fees rose 4.9 percent for 2018-19 at Mississippi University for Women, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Mississippi students paid $6,940 to attend the four-year public institution this year – $6,940 more than the $0 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 100 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 215 students received grants or scholarships totaling $2.3 million and 152 students took out student loans totaling more than $894,003.

Including all undergraduates (2,711), 2,302 students used grants or scholarships totaling $16.8 million, and 1,417 students took out $10.8 million in federal student loans.
