On Friday, Jan. 31, former New Hope High School standout Brant Smith’s current college team, the Delta State Statesmen, won 6-5 in their NCAA Division II baseball game against the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish.
The game took place at J.M. “Jake” Rubin Park. This was their first matchup against the Sailfish this season.
The Statesmen’s next game is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 1 at 1 p.m. at NSU Baseball Complex against Nova Southeastern Sharks.
