Mississippi State’s Josh Hubbard was selected to the All-Southeastern Conference (SEC) Third Team as voted by league coaches, according to a March 9 announcement from the conference office.

Hubbard’s recognition marks his third consecutive season earning All-SEC honors, joining Erick Dampier as the only Mississippi State players to achieve this distinction in their freshman, sophomore, and junior years. This accomplishment highlights Hubbard’s consistent performance and impact on the court.

During the current season, Hubbard is one of four major conference players to record at least 675 points and 100 assists. He also stands out as one of two SEC players with multiple seasons surpassing 640 points and 100 assists since 2000. His career total of 1,925 points ranks fourth in Mississippi State history and fifth among SEC players after their junior year. Additionally, he has set a program record with 309 career three-pointers, placing him tenth on the SEC’s all-time list.

Off the court, Hubbard has been recognized for his leadership and community service. He received the Coach Wooden Citizenship Cup in 2026 and was named to both the All State NACDA Good Works Winter Team and SEC Community Service Team for his efforts. His initiatives include founding The Josh Hubbard Showcase basketball camp in Madison, Mississippi, which has awarded approximately $40,000 in scholarships over two years. He also partnered with Make-A-Wish Mississippi through his “Buckets for Wishes” campaign that has raised over $75,000 and granted wishes for children across the state.

Hubbard’s contributions extend further into community outreach programs such as providing meals through Ballas Family Community Kitchen and working with Lieutenant Governor Delbert Hosemann on reducing chronic absenteeism among schoolchildren. As Mississippi State prepares to face Auburn in its upcoming SEC Tournament game on Wednesday afternoon, Hubbard continues to be recognized both for his athletic achievements and his commitment to service.
